Panasonic was created in 1955 and was first known as an audio speaker brand. Today, Panasonic makes many different electronics such as portable electronics, home entertainment equipment, home appliances and even personal care electronics. In September of 2016, Panasonic Enterprise Solutions opened a new technology center and business solutions hub near Denver International Airport. Denver competed against 21 other cities to house the new facility. Denver was chosen in part because of the state's reputation in sustainability and renewable energy, which represents more than half of the company's business.
